Responsibilities:
- Perform product inspections to verify conformance to engineering drawings and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges) to validate dimensions and tolerances
- Document and provide objective evidence of inspection results
- Conduct audits, surveillance, and process monitoring activities
- Identify, document, and track non-conformances (NCRs)
- Segregate and control non-conforming material (MRB processes)
- Support customer product reviews and verification activities
- Identify recurring or significant defects and initiate corrective actions (CAPA)
- Maintain accurate inspection records and reports using internal systems
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 1+ years of quality inspection or related experience
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications
- Experience with inspection documentation and reporting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of quality inspection experience (manufacturing or aerospace environment)
- Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI / AS9102)
- Knowledge of AS9100 or similar quality standards
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles
- Experience with ERP/MES systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Experience with quality management systems/software (e.g., TIPQA)
