* Aircraft Worked On: BP Aero is an aircraft engine MRO company that specializes in, CFM International LEAP (1A/1B) and CFM56 families, GE Aerospace CF-6-80C2, CF34-8/-10, GE 90 and IAE V2500
* Job Duration: Contract to Hire
* Schedule: First shift
* Tools: Personal standard machining tools required.
* Pay Rate: $17.00 - $30.00 Depending on experience level. Education & Job Requirements
* Obtain and prepare fixtures, tooling, parts, and materials for machining operations, including Manual Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) work
* Set up and operate machining equipment to remove material and achieve required dimensions
* Perform machining operations to support pre-coating preparation, post-coating finishing, and feature restoration
* Conduct finishing operations as required, including deburring, tapping, honing, and general bench work
* Follow written and verbal work instructions to ensure accurate and compliant execution of tasks
* Utilize approved measuring tools and gauges to inspect parts and determine required material removal
* Support repair development efforts, including new program introduction and enhancement of existing repair processes, as needed
* Authorized to legally work in the United States
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Ability to read and understand English to support workplace safety and compliance
* Willingness and ability to work assigned schedules, including overtime as needed
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
* Minimum two (2) years of machining experience in one or more of the following:
* Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL)
* Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM)
* Horizontal Engine Lathes
* Vertical and Horizontal Grinders
* Experience with machine setup, including tooling and fixtures, and the ability to follow technical drawings and work instructions
* General bench skills, including use of hand tools, power tools, and component assembly/disassembly Preferred Skills
* Technical high school diploma or completion of a Machinist trade school program
* Additional hands-on experience across multiple machining platforms Physical Requirements
