Interior Installer

Job Description:

Job Summary

Join our team as an Interior Installation Technician Senior, working on the final phase of aircraft build and delivery. You will support the completion of large cabin aircraft, including interior installation and removal. Previous experience with interior installation and removal on large cabin aircraft is preferred.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Safely perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and/or fabrication.

Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with procedures and quality specifications.

Mentor and train other Interior Installation Technicians.

Accept lead responsibilities as required, overseeing projects and assessing task requirements.

Utilize material tracking systems to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign off work.

Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment.

Prepare and install aircraft interior items according to company procedures and quality standards.

Remove and re-install nut plates, inserts, and other fasteners.

Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies.

Assist technicians with aircraft maintenance requirements.

Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate projects with other shops/departments.

Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma and other techniques.

Create and use simple patterns employing standardized procedures.

Participate in flight tests on aircraft as required.

Requirements

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required.

4 years of applicable installation, fabrication, or related experience.

Experience in the aerospace industry preferred.

Skills and Qualifications

Aviation certifications strongly preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

Ability to use hand/power tools and equipment associated with installation and removal of interiors.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Advanced knowledge of aircraft installation and/or fabrication processes.

Must be computer literate.

Must be fluent in English.
Must be US Citizen or have work authorization

Physical Requirements

Ability to climb ladders and stairs, work in small, restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.

Uniform Policy

Uniform Requirements: Purchase uniforms from designated supplier (CINTAS).

Interim Attire: Wear navy-blue shirt/t-shirt and blue work pants/shorts (no denim) prior to receiving uniforms.

2 Face masks (in case the mask mandate returns)

Safety Shoes: Steel-toed shoes required for job duties.
